We bought a bungalow for Simon to return home to however when we started adapting it we saw that the structure was unsafe so we were told to knock it down and rebuild.

We used Simon's compansation money to buy the bungalow and had enough left for the adaptations, however we now do not have enough funds to rebuild the whole bungalow from scrtach and this is why we are asking for help as so far the MOD have not been able to help us.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED OR DONATED.

SIMON IS NOW HOME AND ENJOYING FAMILY LIFE AGAIN.

THE BUNGALOW IS NOW COMPLETED BUT WE ARE NOW ASKING FOR HELP TO MAKE HIM A SENSORY GARDEN TO HELP AID HIM IN HIS MUCH DETERMINED RECOVERY.

CPL VAUGHAN HOME TO LIVE WITH HIS FAMILY AND NOT BE FORGOTEN

Cpl Simon Vaughan was injured in Afghanistan on 6th December 2008 when his WMIK Land Rover he was travelling in drove over an I.E.D (improvised explosive device) which sent him 7meters into the air.

Simon recieved horrific injuries from broken jaw, shattered pelvis, collasped lungs, broken back to sharpnel wounds, however it was the severe brain injury which has took Simon as we once knew him.

He was in Selly Oak Hospital for 7.5 months, then to The Royal Hospital for Nureo-rehab for 11 months and now to Headley Court since 28th June 2010 and so far has not been home.
